Refunds and Cancellation Policy

At PT Jelajah Budaya Lokal, we understand that travel plans may change due to personal, logistical, or unforeseen circumstances. As such, we have established the following Cancellation and Refund Policy to provide clarity and fairness for all parties involved. By booking a tour through our website (becominglocal.co) or any of our official channels, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined below.
Standard Cancellation by Participant
Section titled “Standard Cancellation by Participant”Cancellations initiated by the participant shall be subject to the following refund terms, based on the number of days prior to the scheduled tour date:
- 100% Refund: Cancellations made 14 calendar days or more before the scheduled tour date.
- 50% Refund: Cancellations made between 7 and 13 calendar days before the scheduled tour date.
- No Refund: Cancellations made less than 7 calendar days before the scheduled tour date.
Refunds will be issued to the original payment method, and may take up to 10 business days to process, subject to third-party service providers (e.g., Stripe).
Cancellation by PT Jelajah Budaya Lokal
Section titled “Cancellation by PT Jelajah Budaya Lokal”PT Jelajah Budaya Lokal reserves the right to cancel any tour for reasons including but not limited to:
- Adverse weather conditions that pose a safety risk
- Low enrollment (fewer than six confirmed participants)
- Natural disasters, local emergencies, or force majeure events
- Circumstances beyond our reasonable control
In such cases, participants will be offered the following remedies:
- A full refund of all payments made, or
- The option to reschedule the tour to an alternative available date, subject to availability
We will notify participants of such cancellations at the earliest reasonable opportunity using the contact details provided during booking.
Change Requests
Section titled “Change Requests”Requests to change the date of a confirmed tour may be accommodated at our discretion, provided such requests are made at least 7 calendar days in advance. We reserve the right to deny rescheduling requests if availability is limited or operational requirements prevent adjustment.
Refund Exceptions
Section titled “Refund Exceptions”Refunds shall not be issued in the following circumstances:
- Participant fails to attend the scheduled tour (“no-show”)
- Participant arrives late and misses part or all of the tour
- Cancellations resulting from visa issues, personal conflicts, or travel restrictions not directly caused by us
We strongly recommend that participants purchase personal travel insurance to protect against unexpected changes.
How to Request a Cancellation or Refund
Section titled “How to Request a Cancellation or Refund”All cancellation and refund requests must be submitted in writing via email to:

- Full name used during booking
- Tour name and scheduled date
- Reason for cancellation
- Preferred outcome (e.g., refund or rescheduling)
We aim to respond to all requests within 3 business days.
Amendments to This Policy
Section titled “Amendments to This Policy”We reserve the right to amend this Cancellation & Refund Policy at any time, with or without prior notice. The version posted at the time of cancellation shall apply.
